Who I Help

You may be carrying experiences that feel heavy, complicated, or difficult to explain to the people around you. Perhaps you are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, chronic illness, neurodivergence, identity concerns, or a major life transition and want a space where you do not have to minimize what you are feeling.

Children and adolescents may be communicating distress through changes in mood, behaviour, relationships, school participation, or emotional regulation. Adults and older adults may be adjusting to loss, health changes, caregiving demands, burnout, or shifts in identity and independence.

You may be looking for someone who can listen carefully while also helping you develop practical skills and new ways of understanding yourself. Brooke welcomes clients of varied ages and backgrounds and adapts therapy to each person’s values, strengths, identities, developmental stage, and goals.

How I Help

I work collaboratively with clients to create a space where they feel validated, seen, heard, and understood. We begin with what matters most to you, recognize the strengths you already carry, and identify skills and supports that fit your life.

My integrative approach draws from cognitive behavioural, acceptance and commitment, dialectical behavioural, somatic, mindfulness, compassion-focused, narrative, and solution-focused therapies. I tailor these approaches to your age, needs, goals, culture, identity, and preferred pace.

I have experience supporting clients facing suicidal thoughts or non-suicidal self-injury and understand the importance of staying calm, assessing safety, and collaborating around additional supports when needed. My work remains grounded in trauma-informed, strengths-based, culturally responsive care.

Therapy can hold both vulnerability and growth. My hope is that you leave sessions with a clearer understanding of yourself, greater confidence in your ability to navigate challenges, and practical strategies that feel useful beyond the therapy room.

Therapies I use in my work:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

  • Somatic, Mindfulness & Compassion-Focused Approaches

  • Narrative & Solution-Focused Therapy

  • Strengths-Based & Trauma-Informed Practice

A Little About Me

Inspiration

I bring more than 10 years of experience supporting children, youth, and families across counselling, school, camp, community, and behavioural-support settings. My experience also includes clients across the lifespan who are navigating grief, chronic illness, cancer, trauma, complex needs, and significant life challenges.

Therapeutic Approach

My style is collaborative, validating, and gently challenging. I make space for vulnerability while helping clients recognize their strengths, develop skills, and learn more about themselves. I believe therapy should respect each person’s values and identity rather than rely on a one-size-fits-all approach.

Outside of Session

Outside of sessions, I share my home with a small zoo of five pets: two Yorkies, a lionhead rabbit, a red-eared slider turtle, and a hedgehog.
